• Wednesday 17 December 2025 Cultural Capital Week 15th-19th December As part of our curriculum learners take part in two Cultural Capital weeks during the year, the first of which was held in the week beginning 15th December with the theme of ‘Personal'.
• Wednesday 17 December 2025 Commando Chef visits Beacon Plus! Our learners had the pleasure of a visit from the Commando Chef, Mike Beaton with an initiative by the Royal Marines designed to engage and inspire young people through cooking demonstrations. The programme emphasises essential themes such as crime prevention, education, and healthy eating.

• Friday 5 December 2025 Highfield Approved Centre We’re thrilled to announce that Beacon Plus Specialist College is now officially a Highfield Approved Centre, a significant milestone that opens exciting new doors for our learners and community.
• Tuesday 22 July 2025 Beacon Plus Visits AECOM Beacon Plus had the pleasure of visiting the London offices of infrastructure consultants, AECOM, who are working on phase one of the Folkestone town centre project, which includes the bus station adjacent to Beacon Plus College. Our learners enjoyed an incredible visit and gained valuable insights into the plans for Folkestone!

• Tuesday 4 March 2025 Beacon Plus Ofsted Result 2025 Staff and learners at Beacon Plus College are celebrating after the release of it's first full Ofsted inspection report, with a result of overall 'Good' with outstanding areas of provision in Behaviour and Attitudes and Personal Development.
• Thursday 30 January 2025 Chinese New Year at the Beacon Plus Cafe Our fabulous learners whipped up a mouthwatering menu, cooked it to perfection, and served it up with flair at our café today! Some lucky customers even got a crash course in the fine art of chopstick wizardry—talk about a tasty experience!
